Teaser Trailer For 'San Andreas' With Dwayne Johnson Released

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Warner Bros. has released the teaser trailer (above) for the upcoming disaster film starring Hayward-born Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The preview has already gone viral on YouTube with 1.5 million views in 24 hours.

The film is set around the West Coast with scenes shot in Los Angeles and here in San Francisco. The storyline centers on the mass destruction a magnitude 9 earthquake set off on the San Andreas fault line. Johnson's character is a helicopter pilot traveling to San Francisco from Los Angeles when the quake hits. The road to the Bay becomes more treacherous as he encounters the effects of a major earthquake. All the while trying to save his only daughter in San Francisco.

In June, filming of "San Andreas" caused street closures and headaches for some San Francisco residents. Filming in Fishermans Wharf and Russian Hill shutdown traffic and lured many celebrity on-lookers for a glimpse of Johnson.

The film is set to release in theaters on May 29th, 2015.
