SWAT Team, Bomb Squad Called To Hayward Home For Eviction

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- A SWAT team and bomb squad have responded to a Hayward home where authorities tried to evict residents Tuesday morning, a police spokesman said.

Alameda County sheriff's deputies tried to serve an eviction notice in the 2700 block of Gainesville Avenue at 9:58 a.m., Hayward police Sgt. Ken Forkus said.

Inside the home, the deputies found "suspicious" notes and notices and called the Hayward police SWAT team and the sheriff's office bomb squad, Forkus said.

The SWAT team and bomb squad remained outside the home Tuesday afternoon, Forkus said.
