Swastika Placed On South San Francisco High School Football Field After Graduation
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Vandals used pieces of protective tarp to fashion a giant swastika on the football field at El Camino High School in South San Francisco.
The swastika was placed on the field shortly after graduation ceremonies on Friday. It remained there all weekend until it was spotted on Monday and quickly removed by school officials.

Robin Belinsky snapped a picture of the swastika, which spanned about 20 yards of the field.
"When I saw a giant swastika on the field, I was really pissed off," said Belinsky told the San Francisco Chronicle. "The Peninsula has been a very accepting community, but these types of incidents need to be brought to the public's attention."
Comments on the KPIX 5 Facebook page also suggest this type of crime is out of character for the school.
"As a South City resident & proud El Camino graduate this is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen happen on our campus. If this was made to be a senior prank then having their diploma(s) rescinded should be the least of their worries. Shameful behavior!" wrote Daniel Schlimmer.
