Suspicious Package Incident On Market Street Resolved

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- An incident involving a suspicious package reported along San Francisco's Market Street Wednesday morning has been resolved, city officials said.

Police were flagged down on Market Street between Eighth and 10th streets at 9:43 a.m. to investigate a suspicious package in a tree, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

Officers shut down Market Street and other streets in the area and called the department's bomb squad to come out and investigate the package, Esparza said.

The city's Department of Emergency Management posted on Twitter at noon that the incident had been resolved.

Police did not immediately release more information about the case.
