Suspicious Package Causes Brief Evacuation At Oakland Airport

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A report of a suspicious package caused a brief evacuation of Oakland International Airport's Terminal 1 early Thursday morning, an airport spokeswoman said.

The package was reported around 5 a.m., airport spokeswoman Keonnis Taylor said.

The incident was quickly resolved without incident and airport operations resumed as normal, Taylor said.

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case. A sheriff's spokesperson was not immediately available to provide more details about the incident.
