Suspects Flee After Firing Gunshots Into Santa Rosa Home After Midnight Sunday

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Residents in Santa Rosa were shaken early Sunday morning when shots were fired into a home, according to police.

Officers responded around 12:15 a.m. to several reports of shots fired in the 800 block of Bennett Valley Road near Grand Avenue and a vehicle leaving the area afterward, police said.

In addition to callers who told police they heard the gunshots, one man on Bennett Valley Road said there was a hole in the wall of his apartment, according to police.

No injuries were reported.Police said officers searched the area and found a shell casing at the scene but were unable to locate any weapons or suspects.

Investigators are looking into whether the gunfire was gang-related.
