Suspect Escapes After Bank Robbery In San Jose's Willow Glen District

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Police are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery at a Wells Fargo in the Willow Glen district of San Jose last month who escaped in a car driven by a woman, a police spokesman said.

The robbery occurred at 3:11 p.m. on March 28 when a man entered the Wells Fargo at 1250 Lincoln Ave. between Brace and Meredith avenues and gave a teller a note demanding cash, Officer Albert Morales said.

The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a waiting car, a gray-colored four-door Mazda 6 sedan driven by a woman, and the pair drove away, Morales said.

The robbery suspect is described as a black man who is 50 to 55 years old, about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 250 pounds and is bald. He wore a short-sleeved polo-type shirt with two white stripes, Morales said.

The woman behind the wheel of the Mazda was described as a black woman in her late 30s with straight hair combed to the side and a bun tied at the back, he said.
