Suspect Arrested In San Francisco Slaying

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) -- San Francisco police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a man in San Francisco's Polk Gulch area early yesterday morning.

Police responded around 3 am on a report of a stabbing.

There they found 55-year-old Bruce Sawyer. He was taken to San Francisco General where he later died.

Investigators were able to identify a suspect, and arrested 28-year-old Marcus Price around noon yesterday a few blocks from the crime scene.

Police have not released any details about what led to the stabbing.

Price has been booked into San Francisco jail on suspicion of murder, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, mayhem and resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and is being held without bail, according to jail records.
