Suspect Arrested After String Of Oakland Home Burglaries

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police arrested a 27-year-old man Monday suspected of burglarizing multiple in Oakland homes over several days, according to police.

After reviewing the home burglary cases, re-contacting witnesses and obtaining additional video footage, officers were able to identify the suspect as Oakland resident Justin Holbert.

Officers also learned Holbert was wanted on a $50,000 warrant for burglary and assault.

Within hours of identifying him, officers located Holbert and arrested him on suspicion of burglary and auto-theft.

Additionally, during his arrest, officers recovered a single sheath dual sword weapon.
