Survey Ranks SF, San Jose Among Ten Best Large U.S. Cities To Live In

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- If you love big cities you'll love San Francisco and San Jose, according to a recent survey.

WalletHub.com ranked both Bay Area locales among the top ten on its '2015 Best & Worst Large Cities To Live In' list.

San Francisco was ranked 8th, and San Jose came in fourth.

The survey considered cities with populations of more than 300,000 for livability, education, health and local economy and taxes. San Francisco was ranked number one when it came to health.

The top three cities on the survey were Austin, Texas, Raleigh, North Carolina and Colorado Springs, Colorado, in that order.

Oakland was ranked 23 on the survey, well ahead of Los Angeles, near the bottom of the list at fifty-one.

Detroit, Michigan, number 62 on the list, ranked last.
