Surveillance Video Catches Laptop, iPhone Theft At San Francisco Coffee Shop

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A San Francisco woman is hoping surveillance video will lead to the thief who stole her laptop and phone from a coffee shop over the weekend.

Software developer Ahryun Moon said she was at a coffee shop at Post and Taylor streets on Saturday afternoon when her electronics were stolen.

Surveillance video shows a woman with blonde hair wearing a blue and white striped shirt and a gray knit cap entering the coffee house around 3:20 p.m. She buys her coffee in cash and then sits down, presumably to scope out the joint.

When Moon went to the restroom more than an hour later, she said the thief went to her unattended Apple MacBook Air and iPhone and stole them.

On her website, Moon said the theft took less than a minute and much of her creative work was lost in the theft.

As of Monday, police have not found the thief.
