Police Arrest Man For Firing Pistol From Car While Driving In Suisun City

SUISUN CITY (CBS SF) -- Police arrested a 22-year-old man early Wednesday morning after police determined the man had been driving around Suisun City, allegedly shooting revolver rounds from his car.

Around 12:50 a.m., police received multiple calls from residents reporting shots being fired in numerous are of the city, including Fulmar Drive, Hummingbird Way, Potrero Circle and Montebello Vista Park, according to police.

Officer canvassed the area and located a man in the 600 block of Seagull Drive, police said.

Officers immediately noticed ammunition in the center console of the man's vehicle.

After further investigation, officers concluded the man had been driving around the city, shooting revolver rounds from his vehicle.

Officers identified the man as Fairfield resident Jose Rodriguez, according to police.

Officers arrested Rodriguez on suspicion of possessing a loaded firearm, shooting a firearm from a vehicle and shooting a firearm in a grossly negligent manner, police said.

He was booked into the Solano County Jail.
