Sugar Bowl Snowboarder Survives Avalanche Only To Face Charges For Causing It

DONNER (CBS SF) -- A snowboarder at Sugar Bowl managed to survive an avalanche, but is now facing criminal charges after prosecutors say he caused it.

Christian Mare's wild ride was caught on GoPro video as he came down the mountain with tons of snow.

Prosecutors say he trespassed onto an active avalanche zone, and Sugar Bowl says he endangered everyone on the mountain.
