Sugar Bowl 2nd Resort To Suspend Skiing As Drought Takes Toll

TRUCKEE (CBS/AP) -- Yet another Northern California ski resort is closing early due to a lack of snow amid the state's historic drought.

Sugar Bowl resort near Truckee in the Sierra Nevada says Sunday will be the last day of the season. Officials blame deteriorating snow conditions at the base of the mountain and no snow in the forecast.

The announcement comes just days after Sierra-at-Tahoe announced it was closing for the season as well.
