Subtropical Moisture Brings Muggy Conditions With Rain Wednesday
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Bands of rain and muggy conditions are sweeping across the Bay Area Wednesday morning.
"We have something very rare happening here in the Bay Area," KPIX 5 Morning Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales said. "We are seeing remnants of what was once actually a hurricane and then downsized to a tropical storm."
That area of low pressure will continue to interact with moisture all associated with Tropical Storm Blanca.
The core of the area of low pressure tapping into the subtropical moisture is right of the coast.

"So that's why you're seeing the precipitation bands rotate counterclockwise," Gonzales said.
The humidity was at 93 percent before 7 a.m.
The most rainfall will be Wednesday morning bringing in about .10 inches or less.
So far no reports of any airport delays.

There is a chance of an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon under mostly cloudy skies.
Temperatures will be in 60s at the beaches, 70s on the peninsula and 80s east of the bay and south.
