Storms Knock Out Power To Thousands Up And Down California
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Emergency crews are working to restore power to thousands of customers throughout California after heavy wind knocked down trees and power lines.
PG&E says at least 2,900 customers remain without power Sunday in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In Los Angeles, at least 1,600 customers are without electricity due to downed wires.
In Santa Cruz County, officials say several roads in the area are closed due to flooding and down trees.

People living along Soquel Creek and the Upper San Lorenzo River were evacuated to shelters Saturday night because of rising water.
A flash flood watch and wind advisory are both in effect for the San Francisco Bay and Monterey Bay areas until 4 a.m.
A high surf advisory is in effect until Tuesday morning, according to weather service officials.
High surf could mean a large shore break and rip currents.
Thunderstorms may bring damaging winds of 58 mph or higher, lightning and small hail, which could cause slick roads.
