Storm Floods Parking Lot At Healdsburg Safeway, Becomes Spot For Wakeboarding, Kayaking

HEALDSBURG (CBS SF) -- The Safeway store in Healdsburg turned into the hottest new party spot in town, when the parking lot became a lake during Thursday's major storm.

A drain clogged during the storm, causing the parking lot to flood.

With many schools closed Thursday, students and other folks around town saw this as a great opportunity to have some fun.

People brought out their summer gear to use on the new lake, including boats and kayaks. Some even tried wakeboarding with a winch.
