Star Wars Tickets Going For More Than $1,000 On Ebay

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- May the force, and plenty of cash be with you if you want to be among the first to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18, opening day.

So many fans tried to pre-order tickets when they went on sale online last night, some cinema websites crashed because of the heavy traffic.

Sellers are already offering tickets to the much-anticipated movie for thousands of dollars on eBay. One package, purportedly for 4 people to attend the December 17 premiere in Los Angeles, is offered for $9,999! So far no one has purchased it.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is expected to be one of the most successful films ever.
