Early-Morning Stabbing Victim Is San Jose's 35th Homicide Of 2016

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- One person is dead after an apparent stabbing early Saturday morning in San Jose, according to police.

Police said officers responded to the area of South Bascom Avenue and Leon Drive at 12:12 a.m. on reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from at least one stab wound and he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, no suspects have been identified or apprehended, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

The identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.

This is the 35th homicide of the year for the city of San Jose.
