Shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday, a fight broke out on a party bus in the 900 block of Connecticut Street, in the vicinity of the Potrero Terrace public housing complex, according to police.

A 43-year-old man was apparently trying to break up the fight when a male suspect stabbed him in the chest with a knife, police said.

Police said the stab wound does not appear to be life-threatening.

The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation and police have not yet released any suspect information.
