South Park Is Set To Weigh In On Colin Kaepernick

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has stirred up plenty of conversation and discussion in the past several weeks with his decision to first sit, then take a knee during the national anthem in order to protest the police brutality and oppression African Americans face in the United States. There have been many opinions on both sides as to whether Kaepernick is right or wrong to protest in this form. Now, one more voice is about to be added to the fray: South Park.

Yep, that's right, the Comedy Central show that is entering its 20th season, released a video on its Instagram account following the 49ers-Rams game on Monday night, teasing the show's satirical take on the issue. You may want to put your headphones in if you're reading this at work. If not, have the volume on your device turned up so you can hear what's going on in the clip.

 

Now, if you've never seen the show before, this clip may surprise you somewhat. The show has long been known for poking fun at current events and eliciting strong reactions on both sides. The season begins on Wednesday night September 14th.
