VIDEO: UC Davis Alumnus Brings Parents To Tears After Paying Off Their Mortgage

(CBS SF) -- A UC Davis alumnus is making waves on Reddit after posting a YouTube video in which he surprises his parents with one very thoughtful holiday gift: paying off their mortgage.

In the video, he hands his parents an envelope while recording their reaction as they read, "Your house is paid off. Merry Xmas. Joe."

His mother quickly bursts into tears, followed by his father as the three come together to embrace one another.

Joe Riquelme graduated from UC Davis in 2006 with a BS in electrical engineering and later built the popular iPhone editing app Videoshop.
