Snoop Dogg Offers to Save Roscoe's, Turn It Into Snoop's Chicken & Waffles

LOS ANGELES (RADIO.COM) – Snoop Dogg said he'd buy Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles if given the opportunity. The parent company of famed Los Angeles and Long Beach restaurants filed for Bankruptcy protection last Friday, reports the LA Times.

Already under crippling debt, the company filed for protection after a wrongful termination and discrimination lawsuit threatened to drain the company's assets.

"Our subsidiary East Coast Foods has filed for Chapter 11 in hopes to reorganize," Roscoe's spokeswoman Diane Vara told the Long Beach Post. "[It] will not affect our business."

Having spent much of his youth in Long Beach, Snoop Dogg threw his name into the mix upon learning of the restaurant's shortcomings.

"Bankruptcy? Roscoe's went—no they didn't!," Snoop told TMZ upon learning the news. "I guess I'm [gonna] have to buy it man, and make it 'Snoop Dogg's Chicken and Waffles."

Roscoe's has been serving up soul food since 1975 and claims patrons from Snoop Dogg to President Obama.
