Small Fire On Grounds Of California Governor's Mansion Deemed Suspicious
SACRAMENTO (CBS/AP) — State fire officials are investigating a small-but-suspicious fire that broke out on the grounds of the California governor's mansion.
State fire spokesman Daniel Berlant said in a statement Monday that investigators are seeking information from the public for help with the blaze that burned a small metal cart and damaged the outside of the carriage house at the Governor's Mansion State Historic Park in Sacramento.
Berlant said the fire did not reach the mansion itself and was already out by the time a park ranger discovered it Sunday afternoon. Berlant says investigators found several exploded butane and propane canisters nearby.

The mansion grounds are closed for renovation, and no staffers were there.
Gov. Jerry Brown doesn't live at the mansion. He lives in a private home in the Oakland Hills.
