Singer Janelle Monae Performs Free Show In San Francisco

(CBS SF) - Marking the 15 anniversary of Salesforce, founder and philanthropist Mark Benioff is treating the city of San Francisco with a concert in Justin Herman Plaza. Benioff will bring R&B singer Janelle Monae to perform a free concert on Friday, March 7.

Prior to the show, Benioff and his staff will be packaging meals for Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief agency whose commitment to end hunger by packing and distributing meals. Benioff is also asking the public to donate canned foods to the San Francisco Food Bank. Community efforts begin at 11:00am and go through 2:00pm.

Mayor Ed Lee will join Benioff on stage at 12:30pm to introduce Janelle Monae for her performance.
