UPDATE: Elderly, At-Risk Santa Clara Man Found After Silver Alert Issued
SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- An elderly man who went missing in Santa Clara has been found safe after the California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert Wednesday.
Santa Clara police said 88-year-old Michael Prokopaki, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was located in Sunnyvale at approximately 12:15 p.m. Wednesday. He had been last seen Tuesday shortly before 5 p.m. when he drove away from his Santa Clara home.
Police said staffers were working to reunite Prokopaki with his family.
