Library on San Jose State University Campus Damaged by Gunfire

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- The library at San Jose State University was damaged when gunshots were fired Thursday evening, university officials said.

Reports of shots fired came in at 6:21 p.m. near the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library at East San Fernando and South Fourth streets in downtown San Jose.

University officials said university and San Jose police responded. San Jose police are conducting an investigation. No one has been identified as a suspect and no one was injured.
