Shooting Victim Arrives At Oakland Hospital, Reports Getting Shot On I-580

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A shooting victim arrived at Highland Hospital in Oakland Wednesday afternoon and said he had been shot on an Oakland freeway, a police spokesman said.

Oakland police were notified at about 2:40 p.m. that the victim had walked into the hospital and said he had been shot on Interstate Highway 580 near High Street, police spokesman Officer Frank Bonifacio said.

Investigators are still working to figure out exactly where the victim was shot, Bonifacio said. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The man's vehicle had a bullet hole in the windshield and the passenger side window shattered, according to police.
