UPDATE: Several Cars Hit By Gunfire In South Berkeley

BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- Police in Berkeley were investigating reports of gunfire Tuesday evening that struck several cars.

Officers responded in the area of Sacramento Street and Russell Street in South Berkeley at about 5:30 p.m. and found several parked vehicles struck by gunfire, but as of now no evidence or reports of anyone being struck, police said.

Officers cleared the area by 7:12 p.m., according to police.
