Shooting In San Francisco's North Beach Neighborhood Leaves Man Seriously Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was seriously injured in a shooting in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said Monday.

The shooting was reported around 3 a.m. Sunday near Columbus Avenue and Broadway Street.

The 18-year-old victim flagged down a vehicle and asked to be taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening gunshot injuries, police said.

The victim was not able to give more information about the shooting before going into surgery. The suspect in the shooting remained at large as of this morning, according to police.
