Shooting At Bay Fair BART Station Leaves Victim In Critical But Stable Condition

SAN LEANDRO (KCBS) - Bay Area Rapid Transit police are investigating a shooting at the Bay Fair station on Tuesday night.

BART police Lt. Michael Hayes said the shooting occurred at about 10:15 p.m. in the west parking lot at the Bay Fair station.

"An adult male, 20-25 years old, laying in the west parking lot with a gunshot wound to the upper chest," Hayes said.

Police are still looking for the suspect, although Hayes said there may be multiple suspects. Investigators have not identified a motive in the shooting

The victim is listed in critical, but stable condition

BART police said the shooting did not impact service on Tuesday night.
