Sharks Throwing Rally To Kick Off Playoff Run In San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- With the San Jose Sharks about to kick off another playoff run, the team is throwing a street rally Thursday to pump up their fans, Sharks officials announced Wednesday.

The rally, presented by El Camino Hospital, will take place next to the SAP Center in San Jose on Autumn Street between Santa Clara and St. John streets starting at 5 p.m.

The Sharks, who entered the playoffs with a 51-22 record, are taking on the Los Angeles Kings in their first game of the playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Street bike freestyle stunt rider Aaron Colton will be on hand with demonstrations and there will be music, giveaways and face painting as well, team officials said.

A Sharks merchandise booth will also be there for anyone who needs new gear for the playoff run.

Comcast SportsNet will broadcast from the rally before the game begins.
