SFPD Release Pics Of Suspect Who Poured Bleach On Woman, Blinding Her

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) -- San Francisco Police released photos of a man suspected of blinding a 53-year-old woman with bleach.

Police said last month the pair got into an argument outside a liquor store in the Tenderloin.

The woman was sitting on the sidewalk in the first block of Mason Street around 7:30 p.m. after the confrontation when the attack occurred.

The male suspect in his 20s returned and poured bleach on the woman, blinding her, and fled on his bike.

While she lost her vision immediately after the attack, investigators have not said if the vision loss is permanent.

The woman told investigators that she did not know the attacker.

Anyone with information may leave a confidential tip at (415) 575-4444 or text one to TIP411. Police asked that tipsters reference the case number 170-619-971.
