2 SFPD Officers Injured While Arresting Felon On Probation

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A felon on probation who must submit to a search by police injured two officers as they tried to arrest him Sunday afternoon in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood, police said.

At 2:53 p.m. officers were working to abate auto thefts and auto burglaries near 20th and Connecticut streets when they saw the felon.

The person was carrying a shopping bag of the kind used by thieves to conceal stolen goods, according to police.

The felon ran, and when officers caught up with him, resisted arrest.

Officers recovered a gun in a backpack. The officers suffered injuries not considered life threatening, according to police.
