SFPD Investigates Attempted Homicide In Sunday Morning Tenderloin Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco police are asking for the public's help in their investigation of an attempted homicide Sunday morning.

Around 10:15 a.m., a man in his 30s was walking near Polk and Ellis streets with his wife.

According to a police spokesperson, the couple heard a group of people shouting, and they heard a gunshot. Moments later, the man realized that he had been shot in the leg.

The injury does not appear to be life threatening, the spokesperson said.

One suspect, a female, has been detained in connection with the shooting, though she has not yet been charged with a crime.
