SF Mayor Ready To Welcome Giants Fans Back To AT&T For World Series Game 3

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - The constant support members of the San Francisco Giants express for their fellow teammates is an example of how to work together in sports or any endeavor, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee said Friday, gearing up for the first home game Friday in the World Series.

"They represent something that is very, I think, special in San Francisco," Lee said.

"They support each other and when they keep that spirit up, it just resounds across teams, beyond sports."

The orange and black ties and Giants logo lapel pin are now mainstays of Mayor Lee's wardrobe, so it should come as no surprise that he will be at the game routing for the day when San Francisco hosts another victory parade.

"I have a little tradition with Larry Baer. I sit with him the first inning to make sure everything is calm. Then we go up to our seats and go crazy," he said.

As for his wager with Kansas City Mayor Sly James, Lee is pretty confident
he won't be sending the Boudin Bakery sourdough, Philz Coffee and Humphrey Slocombe ice cream.

"I'm going to get some of that barbeque. That's what I'm tasting."
