SF Man Accused Of Having Hundreds Of Child Porn Images Arrested In Santa Barbara

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A San Francisco man accused of having hundreds of photos and videos of child pornography was arrested in Santa Barbara last week as he was visiting for Thanksgiving, police said day.

Investigators searched 29-year-old Zachary Singh's apartment in the 1400 block of Hyde Street at about 5 p.m. on Nov. 24 and found more than 600 child pornography files stored on media devices, police said.

Singh wasn't home at the time, but investigators tracked him to a Santa Barbara residence where he was visiting for Thanksgiving. He was arrested there by Santa Barbara County sheriff's deputies the next day, according to San Francisco police.

Singh was booked into jail there on suspicion of possession and distribution of child pornography. He has since posted bail and was ordered to appear in court in San Francisco, according to police.
