SF Couple Wakes To Find Bullet Fired Into Their China Basin Home

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A couple asleep in an apartment building in San Francisco's China Basin neighborhood awoke early Sunday morning to a bullet being fired into their home, police said.

The couple was asleep in their home in the 400 block of Berry Street when they awoke to a loud bang around 2:30 a.m., according to police.

The victims, a 27-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, located fragments of a bullet on their floor and lodged in a mirror.

Police said that as the bullet entered the unit, it damaged a second floor window facing the Interstate Highway 280 King Street ramp.

Officers collected and booked evidence at the scene but have not arrested any suspects, according to police.
