Firefighters contain 3-alarm fire at apartment building near Haight & Divisadero in SF

SAN FRANCISCO – A three-fire that broke out at an apartment building on Haight Street in San Francisco was contained late Wednesday afternoon, firefighters said.

Around 3:40 p.m., the San Francisco Fire Department first tweeted about the fire at a multi-residential building near Haight and Divisadero streets, which was originally reported at two-alarms. The fire grew to three alarms soon after.

Shortly before 5 p.m., firefighters announced the fire has been contained. No injuries were reported.

Twelve people have been displaced as a result of the fire and the Red Cross has been notified, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
