Serial Arsonist Suspected In String Of 15 Fremont Fires

FREMONT (KCBS) -- Fremont police and fire investigators are working to identify one or more arson suspects in a series of 15 small fires that have occurred since July, police said Tuesday.

The fires were all in the Warm Springs District between Hackamore Lane and Mayten Way. Most were set on Sunday and Monday mornings between midnight and 5 a.m., police said.

The damage has mainly been limited to garbage, small bushes, dumpsters and trees.

Fremont police have increased patrol checks in the area, police said.
