Search For Shooter Near Mission District Theater

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police were searching parts of the Mission District in San Francisco Wednesday morning after reports of a possible shooter.

According to police, around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, occupants of a small theater located on 17th and Shotwell Streets heard a commotion outside and then a window to the building break.

Police said the occupants thought they heard shots fired, and immediately contacted 9-1-1 and hid inside the building.

Officers responded and were able to locate the occupants hiding inside and safely bring them outside.

Police said there were no signs of a shooter or shots being fired, however officers were canvassing the area.

No further information is available about the incident.
