Saratoga Teen Killed In Solo-Vehicle Crash On Hwy 35 Near La Honda

LA HONDA (CBS SF) -- A Saratoga teen died Saturday after his vehicle rolled over and landed on its roof on state Highway 35 near La Honda.

At 11:57 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a solo vehicle accident on northbound Highway 35 just north of the Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve, in an area near the San Mateo and Santa Clara County borders, according to CHP officials.

Crews had to extricate a person from the vehicle, CHP officials said, and later identified the driver as a 17-year-old male resident of Saratoga.

At 12:43 p.m., CHP officials issued a Sig-alert for Highway 35 in both directions.

No other information was immediately available.
