Santa Rosa Pizza Parlor Robbed At Gunpoint

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Two armed suspects robbed a pizza parlor in Santa Rosa at gunpoint on Saturday night, police said.

At about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Santa Rosa police officers were dispatched to Round Table Pizza located at 2065 Occidental Road near Stony Point Road after employees inside the store called 911 and reported that two suspects had robbed them, police said.

The employees told police that they were closing the restaurant for the night when two suspects confronted them.

One of the suspects, armed with a semi-automatic handgun, demanded that an employee open the safe, police said.

However, according to police, the employee was so afraid of being shot that she was unable to open the safe.

The suspects then threatened the employee with the gun and grabbed her purse and cell telephone, police said.

Officers said the two suspects then fled the store with the stolen property.

The suspects are described as white males in their late teens or early 20s. Both suspects wore masks at the time of the robbery, according to police.

The Santa Rosa Police Department is encouraging anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information regarding the identity of the suspects to call the department's Violent Crimes Team at (707) 543-3670.
