Santa Rosa DUI Operation Nets 7 Arrests

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Officers arrested seven people on Friday in Santa Rosa, as officers sought suspects with outstanding DUI warrants during a special DUI warrant service operation.

Officers fanned out into several neighborhoods, serving warrants and arresting the seven, who either failed to show up for a court date or violated the terms of their probation in an outstanding DUI case, according to police.

The offenders may face additional jail time for failing to appear in court and or violating their probation, police said.

The department conducted the operation in order to deter people from disregarding driving safety and abusing alcohol and drugs, according to police.

Additionally, the department is committed to lowering death rates and injuries related to drunk driving throughout the city, police said.
