Santa Clara Police Seek 18-Year-Old Suspect In Friday Fatal Shooting

SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- Police are seeking a homicide suspect who allegedly shot a man Friday afternoon in Santa Clara.

At 3:37 p.m., officers responded to a report of a dead man at 1509 Agnew Road, according to police.

When officers arrived they found the victim, a 25-year-old Santa Clara resident, dead inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound, police said.

After an investigation, detectives were able to identify 18-year-old Jonah Castro as the suspect. He's described as a Filipino male, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 115 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Police said Castro is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call 911 or Detective Sgt. Jerry Rodriguez at (408) 615-4823.
