Sand Mermaids Become Temporary Tourist Attraction Along SF Waterfront
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Did you miss them? Over the weekend a pair of mermaids were spotted lounging on the San Francisco shore before slipping back beneath the sea foam for good.
On Saturday, people began posting photos of a the sea goddesses captured at the the Marina harbor (above and on the steps of aquatic park.

The creations appear to be the work of Santa Barbra-based sculptor Scott Dosch, who has previously made headlines with similar work in Monterey, Venice and other cities.

"(The) guy that made it said he was trying to get gas money to head down to Santa Barbra," says Twitter user YevP. "(I) gave him $4 and said it might be easier to walk."
CBS San Francisco has so far been unable to contact Dosch about the creations.
