San Mateo Police Ask Public To Help Find 30-Year-Old Man Missing Since Monday

SAN MATEO (CBS SF) -- The San Mateo Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a missing man.

Michael Shaffer, 39, was reported missing by his family on Monday. He was last seen in San Mateo, but may be in San Francisco, according to police.

Shaffer takes medication for a medical condition and may be without his meds, police said.

He is described as a white man, 5 feet 11 inches and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, and he may be driving a gold 1996 Toyota Camry with California license plate number 4MJT621.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement.
