San Mateo High School Closed Due To Gas Leak

SAN MATEO (CBS SF) -- San Mateo High School is closed Wednesday morning because of a gas leak reported on the campus Tuesday night.

PG&E responded to reports of a gas leak Tuesday evening and shut off gas service to the school, located at 506 N. Delaware St., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

By 9 p.m. the district made the decision to cancel classes for Wednesday, Morris said.

The gas leak was on the school's campus so the school district is responsible for making the repairs before PG&E can restore gas service.
