San Leandro Firefighters Quickly Extinguish House Fire

SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) -- Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a house fire Sunday morning in San Leandro, according to fire officials.

Around 7:45 a.m., firefighters responded to a home in the 1500 block of Vining Drive, fire officials said.

Within minutes, fire crews arrived on scene and determined the fire was coming from the home's kitchen.

Firefighters contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to the home's attic and other rooms.

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

Two people and one child were temporarily displaced and made

arrangements to stay with family members while their home is being repaired.

The cause was determined to be cooking-related and appears to be accidental.
