San Jose State Announces Naming Rights Deal For Spartan Stadium

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Officials with San Jose State University and an Illinois-based credit union have signed an agreement to rename the university's football stadium.

The $8.7 million, 15-year agreement announced Friday between the university and Peoria-based Citizens Equity First Credit Union will rename Spartan Stadium as CEFCU Stadium - Home of the Spartans.

The Spartans will play their first football game in the renamed stadium Sept. 10 against the Portland State University Vikings.
